I’m honestly surprised Paragon is somehow still in business. They sell the lowest quality products with false advertising and have horrible reviews. If I were you, I would stay as far away as possible from this company and their products. In this review, I’ll help you understand why the Paragon 7725 Wall Safe is a product you should avoid at all costs.

Lock – Paragon 7725 Wall Safe

First and always most important on any safe is the lock. Paragon used a Solenoid electronic lock with key override. These are the most common types of electronic locks coming out of China because they are cheap. However, they lack the most basic functions of security and can be opened far too easily. They have no security rating, no testing whatsoever and are not reliable long term.

However, this is not the main issue with the safe. The fatal flaw is the key override. In an attempt to save some money and have a lower price, they went with a tubular override key. These locks can be opened with BIC pens just by inserting and twisting. There are also numerous tubular lock picks available on Amazon that pick these locks in seconds.

Security – Paragon 7725 Wall Safe

The security on the Paragon 7725 Wall Safe is listed in one section of the page at 1/8″ steel. At 31 lbs in total, this is not possible and Paragon is known for false advertising. I would estimate this wall safe between 16 and 18 gauge steel which is extremely thin. Standard on wall safe doors is a minimum of 3/8″ with the real security starting at 1/2″.

This wall safe also features an exposed reset button to set the combination. This can be easily pressed by slightly prying the door and using a coat wire to press it. When you combine the lack of security in the door with the easy opening methods from the lock and key override, this wall safe is not secure at all.

Style and Function – Paragon 7725 Wall Safe

The Paragon Wall Safe is finished in a standard textured black which is the same as every other imported safe from China. It has two fixed shelves that are removable. Finally, the locking mechanism and safe looks like it was built in the 1970s and is not an attractive finish.

Warranty

The Paragon Wall Safe does not list any warranty information at all. Assume that once you buy this safe you are on your own. Their customer service department will not answer the phone and will not help you. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

The Bottom Line

The Paragon 7725 Wall Safe is a low quality product, made by an unreliable company, that has a reputation of not providing any service or warranty for their products. The security on this safe is severely lacking and it is way too easy to break-in via multiple methods. One quick search on Youtube and you’ll see exactly how to do it.

With that said, there is a wall safe I do recommend. The Stealth WSHD1414 wall safe comes with a 1/2″ thick solid steel door, UL rated high security S&G mechanical lock, hard plate, re-locker, 12 gauge steel body, double the warranty and is Made in USA. It’s my top absolute top pick in the wall safe category and significantly more secure. It is more expensive, but with safes, you always get what you pay for.
