GoldenRod is the oldest company on this list and they have a prestigious reputation to match. Made in USA, GoldenRod offers 4 different sizes ranging from 12” to 36” and are distinctly known by their gold color. The gold color does not make this rod better than others, it just lets you know that it’s their product.

GoldenRod dehumidifiers are the best for two reasons:

hey have the largest wattage output which means they are the strongest for their respective sizes
They have a lifetime warranty.

It is also the most expensive, but considering in this industry you get what you pay for, it is well worth the one time investment. I will mention that GoldenRod was recently acquired by Battenfield products who are famous for degrading great brands. To the best of my knowledge they only bought the product line but are not doing any of the manufacturing. I would also be very wary of the GoldenRod Gun Saver brand as it is a cheap Chinese product that GoldenRod brought in to use their name on and trick people, I do not recommend those rods. Dri-Rod is another dehumidifier brand that is Made in USA with a lifetime warranty. I’ve sold tens of thousands of these dehumidifiers and have never had one defective. They have had the same family owned company and they are one of the last few great American owned and produced products. Unfortunately, Dri-Rod does not list the exact output of their products but says that it draws 7 watts or 10 watts for most units.
