First and always most important for any safe is the lock. Stealth includes the NL UR-2020 high security electronic lock. This lock is UL approved as type 1 which is the highest security rating possible. NL is one of the three major lock brands I recommend with SecuRam and S&G being the other two. I highly recommend this lock and it is very high quality. Finally, the parts are globally sourced with the electronic boards and lock body produced in Europe and the keypads coming from Korea.
Hard Plate and Re-Locker
This lock is also protected by both a hard plate and internal spring-loaded re-locker. The Hard plate is a piece of hardened steel that absolutely destroys drill bits. The internal re-locker fires if the lock is punched through securing the bolts in place. Both of these are essential security features and included on this safe.

The Stealth Drop Safe is equipped with a massive 1/2″ thick solid steel door (1/4″ on DS1614). Stealth then adds up to five 1″ solid steel locking bolts covering the door along with a full steel dead bar on the hinge side that locks behind the external cast iron hinges. The body is constructed of high tensile 12 gauge steel certifying this depository safe as B-Rate construction. The DS1614 uses 16 gauge steel in the body. Also included is are reinforced internal jambs on all four sides to provide protection against sledgehammer attack.
The drop portion is built with 7 gauge steel construction and features anti-fish baffles on the back side. Finally, these jagged teeth prevent fishing attacks. That is a lot of steel and security protecting your business.
Style and Function
The Stealth Drop Safe is finished in a durable and quality textured black paint. Hardware includes both a chrome L Shaped Drop Down handle and black keypad. Finally, the interior is all metal and includes a carpeted bottom. Also, all mounting hardware is included for securing to a concrete surface.
Overall, drop safes are not meant for overnight storage. They should be emptied each day with the deposit being taken to the bank. The front load deposit is able to accommodate medium size packages and is the following dimensions: 4″H x 10 ½”W x 6″D.
